“Honourable mention”

Fake US Aircraft carrier, constructed in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dubbed by Warsearcher staff “USS Potemkin Maru,” LOA 670′ / 204.2 m TDISP unknown…very little. She was built with tubing, and is surprisingly large. Launched early 2015 at Bandar Abbas, Iran, on the Strait of Hormuz. Extensively damaged mid-2015 by a range of conventional practice strikes in staged and recorded attacks. Towed back to Bandar Abbas and has not been repaired. Likely to be scrapped.FakeUScarrierBandar Abbas2015-02.jpgFakeUScarrierBandar Abbas2015-03.jpgFakeUScarrierBandar Abbas2019-06.jpg
