This is a post-war French built version of a US PC-461 type submarine chaser, financed through Mutual Aid. It was the lead ship of 3, and the only survivor. It may also be the last remaining ship visibly similar to this large class of wartime coastal escorts. It is being gradually restored by a group in the Netherlands.
This is a 1973 view of a former US PC 173′ coastal escort , the basis of the Le Fougeux class, in Thai service.
