PLANS Dabie Shan (1950-1999) LST Mk 2, LST-542 subclass. LOA 328′ / 100 m TDISP 4,00o tons. Formerly USS LST-1008 (1944-1946) with service during the Normandy Landings, June 1944, and one battle star for USN Atlantic service. Transferred to the Republic of China Navy in 1946, and in 1950 was captured by Communist forces. Pennant number was 502 but was changed to 926, and the ship mostly stayed in its WW2 configuration. It was preserved and on display as a museum ship at the Qingdao Naval Museum 2000-2005, and scrapped by 2007.
